Just Part of My Poem

I use to think the good times were going to a party, a wedding, a vacation,

Having a new outfit, or another bracelet.

Then I discovered

It was the small things/moments

That truly made up the Good Times.

  1. Isn't that the truth! The small, everyday moments are the ones I treasure most.

  2. You are so right! I think getting older has made me realize that in some ways. But I know that others have helped too! I appreciate you and your blog! Thanks so much for writing on my students' slices. They are so encouraged by it! Happy Slicing! Have a great weekend! :)

  3. Here, here...spotting a wild animal, a special look from my husband, a phone call from our boys...are all worth more than anything we can buy or go do.

  4. I can see this on a calendar for one of the months in the year, Tam. It's beautiful!! And so very true. Some people never get it and that's sad.

  7. Wow a poem! Thank you. :)

I appreciate the way you "broke the rules" and capitalized "Good Times."

Retirement seems to be a freeing experience for you. *smile*

  8. Well, it may be part of a poem, but it's a lovely & complete message, isn't it? I like the way you arranged it; it slowed me down to savor each line.
